Belden Inc. (NYSE: BDC), a leading global provider of complete connection solutions, has announced the second annual award program designed to foster the next generation of innovative technologies. The Joseph C. Belden Innovation Award will shine the spotlight on innovative technologies that are powering the future. Entries are now being accepted, with finalists to be announced in April and a winner to be named in June.

The 2025 competition is open to products or technologies designed for network infrastructure, data ingestion and analytics, connectivity or related applications supporting significant innovations such as digital transformation or artificial intelligence. Eligible products must drive improved productivity or customer experience in one or more of Belden’s key markets, such as manufacturing, mass transit, broadband, data centers, material handling, energy, healthcare, hospitality, telecommunications or higher education.

The award is named for the innovator Joseph C. Belden, who in 1902 founded Belden Manufacturing to serve an unmet need he saw in the burgeoning telecommunications industry. “We are excited to build upon the success of last year’s inaugural awards as we carry forward our founder’s spirit of innovation,” said Ashish Chand, President and CEO of Belden. “For more than a century, Belden has been a bridge between what is, and what could be. We look forward to once again connecting people, information and ideas through the 2025 Joseph C. Belden Innovation Award.”

The winning product announced at the 2024 inaugural Joseph C. Belden Innovation Award event, Stratus ztC Endurance platform, is a fault-tolerant computing platform that was built for next-generation, sustainable operations. The two other finalists for the inaugural award were TECHMEDO, honored for its Intelligent Healthcare Operating System; and Voleatech GmbH, for its next-gen VT AIR OT Firewall Software.

The Joseph C. Belden Innovation Award raises the profile of innovative companies through promotion and marketing as well as the opportunity to make invaluable industry connections. The competition is open to small and medium-sized companies with revenues of $500 million or less, and eligible products must have been made available for sale on or after July 1, 2023. Award entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts and will be evaluated for their ingenuity as well as the value and benefit they deliver to customers.

Winners and finalists will receive benefits such as networking opportunities with fellow innovators and industry experts, attendance at a June 2025 Belden innovation event where the winner will be announced, and a campaign promoting their winning product or technology.
